A toy model of an aggregate of lipid-like molecules (with hydrophilic 'heads' and hydrophobic 'tails'), exhibiting self-assembly behaviour. The simulation here is modified from the model presented in Edwards, L. (1999), Computational Models for the Formation of Protocell Structures, Doctoral Dissertation; a different sigmoid functions is used, and interactions are optimised with a spatial hash.
